DMS 34003 - Echocardiography I The study and uses of diagnostic medical sonography and its application as it relates specifically to the heart. EKG interpretation, Holter monitor set-up, cardiac catherization, and cardiac stress testing will be discussed. Two-dimensional imaging, M-mode, Doppler testing, and Transesophageal Echocardiography in the detection of valvular and ischemic heart disease will also be studied. Contrast studies will be introduced.
