MTH 11903 - Mathematics for Nurses


This course introduces the nursing student to the math skills necessary for medication dosage calculation. The student will expand on previous knowledge of percentages, proportions, and changing units. Additional concepts discussed are legal/ethical accountability related to medication administration and the use of the nursing process in medication administration. Upon completion of the course, the student demonstrates proficiency in medication dosage calculation.
