IND 30303 - Microcomputer Hardware


A study of Intel based microcomputers. Topics include: history, microprocessor performance, memory architecture, I/O mapping, interrupts, motherboard design, bus architecture, power supplies, floppy drives, sound cards, and video standards. This course is designed to introduce students to hardware and operating systems used in microcomputers and prepare them to pass the CompTIA A certification examination. Research project will be assigned.
