NUR 50303 - Foundations for Clinical Nurse Specialist Practice

This course introduces the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) roles as an advanced practice nurse. Students explore core competencies and outcomes across the spheres of patient direct care, nurses and nursing practice, and organizations/systems. The course addresses the contributions of the CNS in shaping quality and safe patient care, health policy, professional practice, and performance standards in adult/gerontology.
