PSY 34303 - Sport Psychology


Sport psychology can be defined as the integration of the science of psychology to the practice of (a) optimizing the performance and well-being of athletes, (b) facilitating the developmental and social aspects of sports participation, and (c) studying the impact of sports settings and organizations. Sport Psychology interventions focus on helping athletes, coaches, administrators, parents, and others involved in sports across a variety of settings, competition levels, and ages, from young children to professional athletes.
