RCP 22502 - Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology This is a two-credit hour course detailing the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. Detailed instruction regarding breathing mechanisms and the control of ventilation will be taught. The student will learn transport and diffusion of gases, acid-base balance, and ventilation/perfusion. The student will be instructed about the circulatory system, cardiopulmonary equations, and hemodynamics as well as function of the renal system. The structure and function of the chest cage, mechanics of breathing, and control of respiration are also included.
