HCA 21204 - Administration of Acute Care Facilities

This course guides students through the inner workings of the modern acute care hospital. Topics of discussion will include: the history of hospitals; roles of management, physicians, nurses, and staff; administrative services and financial services. This course will explore the vital collaboration between health care providers and diverse practices including clinical laboratory science, pharmacy, physical therapy, and social services, while evaluating the relationship of quality, efficiency, and cost.
