MUS 10403 - Music Appreciation

This course is intended to stimulate curiosity and enthusiasm, and heighten knowledge and enjoyment of music. Students will be exposed to representative works from all periods of music history and will learn to develop perceptive listening habits through careful listening and analysis. A minimum of one live concert will be attended and critiqued. Comparisons will be made between music and the visual arts.
