Master of Education Learning Outcomes

The successful student will demonstrate:

  • A knowledge base in leadership
  • A knowledge base of advanced teaching principles and practices
  • A knowledge base in curriculum, education law, and education finance
  • Knowledge of incorporating data-decision making into leadership practice

Program Description

The Master of Education - Educational Leadership program will prepare students to lead in a variety of positions in education and training, including roles in K-12 education, higher education, and adult education programs. Some jobs that would benefit from this degree are K-12 department chairperson, K-12 administration (with additional license), higher education student services, higher education leadership, adult education leadership, and adult education training. (NOTE: Students completing the program who seek principal licensure will then be eligible to earn a principal’s license through an additional certificate program.)
