NUR 55202 - Adult Gerontology Care I: Preceptorship

This course provides clinical opportunities for the clinical nurse specialist student to apply theories, research, and evidence in the design, implementation, and evaluation of direct care interventions to adults and adult populations across the spectrum to promote healthy aging and disease prevention. Students perform comprehensive assessments using evidence-based screening tools and guidelines and design innovative solutions for common health problems to improve health outcomes in adult individuals and populations. Students explore education, coaching, and consulting roles for health promotion and literacy.
